Job description

Visiting Assistant Professor, one year, beginning August 2016. AOS: Open. AOC: Ethics. PhD or Advanced ABD. Three introductory undergraduate courses for each of two semesters (Fall 2016 and Spring 2017); minimal departmental service. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to and appreciation for teaching students from diverse, multi-cultural backgrounds.  Salary $45,000, with benefits. Qualifications:

1. PhD or ABD in Philosophy or PhD or ABD in a closely related area, with a substantive training in philosophy and an active research program in philosophy.  

2. Ability to teach introductory courses in normative philosophy.

3.  Commitment to teach, multi-cultural backgrounds.

Responsiblities:

1. Teach 3 sections of philosophy in each of the Fall 2016 and Spring 2017.

2. Light departmental service duties.
