| Job description |
The candidate should have a strong background in the history of philosophy and a demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and an active research agenda. The teaching load is five courses per year (with a one course reduction during the first year) split between lower division courses and upper division seminars in the area of specialization. There are some opportunities to contribute to graduate studies and research supervision in cognate fields. Review of the applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled. The University of New Brunswick is the oldest English speaking university in Canada, with two main campuses in Fredericton and Saint John and more than 8,000 undergraduate and 2,000 graduate students. The university offers over 75 undergraduate and graduate programs, including PhD programs in humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, as well as professional faculties in business, law, nursing, computer science, kinesiology, and engineering. This opening is at the Fredericton campus and is subject to budgetary approval. |
