Post-Doctoral Fellow, Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Philosophy Department at Wellesley College is seeking outstanding candidates for a two year Mellon postdoctoral Fellowship. The successful candidate will teach a total of four courses (both upper level and lower level) over two years. We are particularly interested in candidates whose teaching areas complement existing strengths of the department. Such teaching areas include (but are not limited to) courses in critical race theory, African American philosophy, neuroscience and philosophy, applied ethics, courses that draw on philosophical and religious traditions that originated in Africa, Latin America, Asia or the Middle East, and continental philosophy. The fellow will also have a relationship with the Newhouse Center for the Humanities at Wellesley College. This Mellon post-doctoral fellow is open to candidates who have been awarded a doctorate in Philosophy in the five year period preceding the appointment and no later than June 1, 2016.
