Visiting Instructor in Philosophy (EXPIRED)

ROLE of the POSITION
The successful candidates shall teach 4 courses/semester in the department of philosophy, including several sections of PHIL 242 - Ethics for Engineers and Scientists. This position is not tenure-eligible, and there is no expectation that it will be renewed. This is a one-year sabbatical replacement starting in the fall of 2016.

QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a Ph.D. in philosophy from a regionally accredited college or university (though advanced ABDs may be considered) and demonstrated ability to teach Ethics for Engineers and Scientists. Experience teaching reasoning and critical thinking is also strongly preferred.

SALARY RANGE
Salary competitive with those at similarly situated institutions. Position is contingent upon funding.
