Position Announcement: Professorial Lecturer Department of Philosophy and Religion College of Arts and Sciences American University The Department of Philosophy and Religion in the College of Arts and Sciences at American University invites applications for a one-year term faculty appointment for Academic Year 2016-2017. Rank will be Professorial Lecturer with specializations in ethics and the history of philosophy. This appointment is a 9-month term position and will commence on August 29, 2016. Qualified candidates must have a PhD by August 2016, and provide evidence of strong teaching skills. The teaching load is three courses per semester (fall and spring). Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses, and participating in department, college, and university service activities. Salary is competitive.
