Job description

The Department of Philosophy at Stony Brook University invites applications for the position of Visiting Full Professor, with a start date of Fall 2016, for a period of one year.  The position includes a 1/1 teaching load. The successful candidate will have a distinguished record of scholarship and a significant profile in Continental philosophy, broadly conceived.  Areas of specialization that are of interest to the Department include feminism, philosophy of science and technology, ethics, and critical theory.   Candidates should share Stony Brook’s commitment to pluralism in philosophy.
