The Department of Social Sciences at Tarleton State University is accepting applications for a full-time (9 month) Instructor of Philosophy beginning September 1, 2016. This position has a normal teaching load of 15 credit hours per semester. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate courses in Introduction to Philosophy and Logic. The applicant must have a Master’s degree in Philosophy and experience teaching at the undergraduate collegiate level. The applicant will be expected to serve the department and the university as required (see the Tarleton State University Handbook for Faculty and Administrative Staff available at www.tarleton.edu). Preferred Qualifications: Strong academic preparation in classic philosophical texts. Salary is competitive, within the Instructor range, concomitant with experience.
