Job description |
The Department of Philosophy at Mount Allison University invites applications for a full-time position for the 2016-2017 academic year. Candidates should have a PhD in Philosophy or one nearing completion, and have a commitment to undergraduate teaching and a deep interest in the history of philosophy. The course load for the year is 2/3. Courses to be taught include: a first year introductory course in philosophy called “The Changing Image of Nature” (see http://www.mta.ca/faculty/humanities/philosophy/ for description); an introductory course in philosophy of science; a third year course on the Rationalists; a third year course on the Empiricists; and a fourth year seminar ideally on philosophy of science or environmental philosophy. |
