PhD position in Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Groningen offers a PhD position in Philosophy.

The position is in the Department of Theoretical Philosophy. Candidates should have a master’s degree in Philosophy with an excellent academic record. They should have a very good command of English and strong academic writing skills.

The University of Groningen offers a salary of € 2,174 (salary scale PhD students Dutch Universities) gross per month in the first year, up to a maximum of € 2,779 gross per month in the final year, based on a fulltime position, excluding a 8% holiday allowance and a 8.3% end of the year bonus. The position will be for four years (unless the candidate’s prior experience is judged to make a three-year position more suitable).

The preferred starting date is 1 November 2016, or as soon as possible thereafter.
