| Job description |
The
The PhD candidate will work within the subproject 'Conceivability and Possibility', assessing the role of conceivability in our knowledge of absolute or metaphysical modality, also with the use of logical formal tools, and will have the PI Franz Berto as the main supervisor. The subproject will last for the first four years of the LoC project (2017-2020), and the candidate will be fully funded. The candidate will have completed an MA or MSc in Logic or Analytic Philosophy, and will have demonstrable competence in Logic, Metaphysics, Epistemology and/or Philosophy of Mind. Her/his exam records, thesis, and writing sample will be those of a promising graduate student ready to undertake excellent research. The deadline for applying is 2 October 2016. The preferred starting date is 1 January 2017, but short delays can be negotiated in case of need.
