Philosophy: Assistant Professor of Philosophy - 000714 The Program in Philosophy, Politics, Economics, and Law (PPEL) and the Department of Philosophy at the University of Richmond invite applications for a tenure-track position at the assistant professor level to begin August 2017. We seek a candidate with a strong commitment to high quality undergraduate education and primary research and teaching expertise in political philosophy. Among the required teaching responsibilities will be an undergraduate course in rational choice theory broadly construed, including decision-theory, game theory, and social choice theory. The successful candidate will be expected to teach a 2/3 course load per year. We seek individuals with demonstrated teaching excellence. A Ph.D. is required. ABDs will be considered, but must have completed the Ph.D. degree by the start date. Applicants should apply online at jobs.richmond.edu using the Faculty (Instructional/Research) link.
