Job description

The Department of Philosophy at St. Lawrence University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level beginning fall 2017.

AOS: OPEN AOC: Ethics and Reasoning/Critical Thinking (including ability to teach elementary logic in such a course). 

Successful candidates must have a Ph.D. in Philosophy and offer evidence of excellence in teaching as well as productive scholarly commitments. 

The standard workload is three courses per semester, including at least one at the introductory level, and participation in the First Year Program prior to tenure. St. Lawrence University offers a generous travel policy, and junior faculty members receive pre-tenure research leave support.
