General Summary PRIORITY DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: Essential Tasks Teaching: Teach introductory courses in philosophy and ethics, as well as applied ethics for Bachelor of Applied Science students (teaching assignments may include evening/weekend, on-line, hybrid, and off-campus sections); develop additional lower-division offering(s) in applied ethics; advise students in developing college success strategies, mastery of course content, and academic and career plans. Service: Engage in department, division, and college initiatives; participate in shared governance; promote the college's values; and perform other contracted duties (for example advising and community outreach) as required. What can you contribute to a diverse learning community, and what insights have you gained as a result of personal experiences?
4. A one page statement of your plan for teaching Introduction to Philosophy: How would you design and teach a 101 course to students who will take one philosophy course in college? What are the learning goals and how will you achieve them?
5. Transcripts documenting undergraduate and graduate course work and degrees (unofficial transcripts may be submitted - official transcripts required upon employment).
Note: Three letters of recommendation may be required at a later point in the selection process.
