Job description

You will be expected to be able to teach Buddhist thought and practice in both their historical and modern contexts, contributing to the undergraduate programmes in the Study of Religion and Theology, Theological Studies in Philosophy and Ethics, and Comparative Religion and Social Anthropology, as well as contributing to the Department's MA programmes.  You will also be expected to share administrative duties and to participate in the undergraduate admissions process.  You will have obtained your doctorate by 1 October 2012, and will be expected to engage in original research and show evidence of the potential to produce scholarly monographs and academic papers for leading international, peer-reviewed journals.


Expertise in Chinese and Japanese Buddhism would be particularly welcome.
