Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

UNIVERSITY OF CHICAGO, CHICAGO, IL, Assistant Professor in Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy OR Early Modern Philosophy, Tenure-Track.

Assistant Professor, first or second term. Minimum teaching load: four courses/year; graduate and undergraduate; usual dissertation, committee responsibilities. The position will preferably begin in Fall 2017.

AOS: Ancient Greek and Roman Philosophy (areas other than ethics preferred) OR Early Modern Philosophy. AOC: Open.

PhD preferred by October 1, 2017.

Required elements of the dossier are: cover letter, CV, teaching statement, dissertation abstract, teaching evaluations, research statement, at least three letters of reference, syllabi, and a writing sample. Optional elements are an additional writing sample, which may be a publication.
