SAM HOUSTON STATE UNIVERSITY, Huntsville, TX. Announcing a tenure-track position starting in the Fall 2017 semester for an Assistant Professor in the Philosophy Program of the Department of Psychology and Philosophy. The successful applicant must have a Ph.D. in philosophy prior to the appointment in Fall 2017. The AOS is the Philosophy of Gender, Race, and Class. The AOC are Philosophy of Science and Ethics. The regular teaching load for tenure-track faculty is three undergraduate courses per semester. It will include, among other things some combination of Introduction to Philosophy, Critical Thinking, Contemporary Moral Issues, Ethical Theories, and/or Philosophy of Science. On-line teaching experience is a plus. Summer teaching may be possible depending on demand.
