Tenure-Track Assistant Professor Philosophy & Religious Studies (Ethics)

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies announces a full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Philosophy to teach Ethics and Applied Ethics beginning August 2017.
    
QUALIFICATIONS:    
Candidates must have a Ph.D. at time of application. We seek a colleague with a record of excellence in undergraduate teaching and an active research agenda that complements existing faculty strengths.  AOS: Normative Ethics and Applied Ethics with the ability to teach Environmental Ethics and Business Ethics.  AOC: Open.
        
RESPONSIBILITIES:    
The teaching load for this position is 4/4. In addition to teaching Philosophy courses and the capstone course in the General Education program, World of Ideas, the successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the Liberal Studies program administered by the department and advise the program's majors.  The candidate will also be expected to pursue an active research agenda and contribute to campus, professional and public service.
