Department of Philosophy, New School for Social Research, Assistant Professor, (Tenure-track) (EXPIRED)

The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College, the New School for Liberal Arts, in New York City seek applicants for a tenure-track appointment with the Department of Philosophy to begin Fall 2017.    

The areas of concentration or specialization are open. We are searching for an outstanding philosopher whose research interests will support and harmonize with the traditional research strengths of the NSSR Philosophy Department: Modern European Philosophy, History of Modern Philosophy, Ancient Philosophy, Social and Political Philosophy. The successful applicant must have a significant record of research excellence, as well as a demonstrated commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching.  Salary competitive.
