Siena College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Philosophy at the starting rank of assistant professor to begin in the fall of 2017. AOS: Ethics, broadly construed. AOC: Teaching competence in ancient and/or modern philosophy. The successful candidate will have a commitment to collaborative and innovative teaching in a liberal arts college setting, to maintaining an active and meaningful research program, and to contributing to the intellectual life of the College. Salary and benefits highly competitive. Under the department’s current instructional workload, the normal teaching load for those actively engaged in productive research is 3/3. PhD required at time of appointment to rank of assistant professor. A background screening will be required.
