Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Luther College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy.  A one-year, non-tenure track replacement position, with possibility of renewal for a second year beginning late August 2017.

QUALIFICATIONS:  PhD by August 2017 required; Area of Specialization:  History of Philosophy; Area of Competence:  Open.  The enthusiasm for and demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching is essential.

RESPONSIBILITIES:  A seven course teaching load spread over the fall, January, and spring terms (3-1-3); teaching to include core courses in Ancient and Early Modern Philosophy.  Active participation expected in the Department of Philosophy which has 2.5 FTE faculty supporting major and minor study in philosophy.
