Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Assistant Professor, Philosophy, Tenure-track, Department of English and Philosophy, Murray State University. Position to begin August 2017. The successful candidate will teach 12 hours a semester, will maintain a record of publication in the field sufficient for tenure and advancement, and will engage in appropriate departmental and university service.
Qualifications: PhD in Philosophy required. ABDs with documented plan of completion by appointment date will be considered.

AOS: Open, with a strong preference for feminist philosophy, continental philosophy, non-western philosophy, or philosophy of diversity.

AOC: Department has strong needs for courses in feminist philosophy, philosophy of diversity, philosophy and literature, and continental philosophy. Ability to teach ethics and humanities courses required. Evidence of good teaching and scholarly potential required.

Ability to teach comparative philosophy and ability to teach online preferred.
