Philosophy Faculty Position

The University of Mary invites applications for a full-time position in Philosophy to begin Fall 2017. Salary is commensurate with qualifications, experience, and rank; Ph.D. is required by time of employment.

Areas of specialization and competence are open. An aptitude for bringing Thomistic philosophy into fruitful dialogue with other philosophical traditions would be a distinct asset, along with the ability to business ethics and bioethics. Successful applicants will regularly teach courses to a broad range of students in the University’s Core Curriculum, including PHI 108: The Search for Truth and PHI 308: Ethics.

Applicants should understand, support, and advance the liberal arts, excel in teaching at the undergraduate level, and have an active research agenda. All faculty are expected to demonstrate a willingness to support and advance the Christian, Catholic, and Benedictine mission and identity of the University of Mary (see www.umary.edu/about/mission/missionidentity.php).
