Full-time Instructor (EXPIRED)

The Philosophy Department at Missouri State University is seeking two nine-month, non-tenure track, full-time instructors to teach some combination of our three philosophy general education courses (Introduction to Philosophy, Ethics and Contemporary Issues, and Critical Thinking), in addition to some combination of the following upper-division courses: Elements of Symbolic Logic, Philosophy of Law, Global Ethics, and Bioethics. Teaching load is 4/4. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. MA, ABD, or PhD in Philosophy is required. A willingness to serve the academic unit, college, and the University is also required. The successful candidate will have experience teaching courses equivalent to some combination of the upper-division and introductory courses listed above, will be able to enhance the Public Affairs mission of the University, and should demonstrate a commitment to teaching and working with diverse student and community populations.
