LOYOLA MARYMOUNT UNIVERSITY, Los Angeles, California.  Instructor of Philosophy. 3 classes/semester (1 or 2 preps).  AOS:  Open.  AOC:  Open.  Teaching responsibilities principally in core Philosophical Inquiry (philosophical anthropology, metaphysics, and epistemology) and Ethics courses, with a primarily historical approach.  Preference for candidates with experience teaching such courses at a Jesuit-Marymount institution.

The Department of Philosophy at Loyola Marymount University invites applications for 2 or 3 Instructor positions to begin August 15, 2017.  The Instructor of Philosophy is a full-time, one-year term appointment reviewed by the departmental chairperson for annual renewal contingent on performance.  LMU is a Catholic university whose mission is inspired by the tradition of the Jesuits and the Religious of the Sacred Heart of Mary.  Applicants should have a demonstrated commitment to quality undergraduate liberal arts teaching.
