Job description |
The University Center for Human Values and the Department of African American Studies at Princeton University invite applications at the assistant professor level from well-qualified individuals for a tenure-track position in theoretical approaches to the study of race. Applicants may be scholars of political theory; political philosophy; the philosophy of race; critical and social theory; applied ethics and ethics of public policy (with application to race); African American studies (with a focus on one or more of the aforementioned areas); or any area of normative inquiry that focuses on the experience of African Americans. The position involves teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels and would be held jointly in the two units as assistant professor of African American Studies and Human Values. Princeton University is especially interested in qualified candidates who can contribute, through their research, teaching, and/or service, to the diversity and excellence of our academic community.
