Job description |
The Philosophy Discipline invites applications for two tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant professor. Start August 2018. Ph.D. required at the time of hire or with specified completion date. AOS: 20th Century Continental, or Analytic Metaphysics and Epistemology, or Social and Political Philosophy. AOC: Open, but the Discipline has need of a course in Race and Gender Studies; also desirable, interdisciplinary work (e.g., Philosophy and Technology; Philosophy of Religion; Philosophy of Economics; or Environmental Ethics). The successful candidate will also be able to contribute courses to the college’s Core Curriculum. Course load of three classes per semester. In addition to teaching, the responsibilities of this position include an active program of scholarship, student advising, service on college committees, and other typical collegial duties.
