The Department of Philosophy and Religion at Northeastern University seeks to fill a position of Assistant, Associate or Full Teaching Professor in Philosophy beginning September 2018. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to and experience in undergraduate teaching and will be able to teach introductory courses in applied ethics, including technology ethics. This is an untenured, but continuing and tracked position with the possibility of promotion to Associate and Full Teaching Professor, as well as multi-year (3 year and 5 year) contracts. The initial rank will be determined based on the credentials of the final candidate. The standard teaching load is six courses per year. A Ph.D. or equivalent is required by the start of the appointment. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled.
