Job description

The Department of Philosophy invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure-track appointment in Philosophy at the rank of Lecturer, with primary area of specialization in Metaphysics and/or Epistemology. Candidates must hold the Ph.D. by the starting date August 16, 2018.

The successful candidate will be expected to 1) teach six courses per academic year, and 2) provide service to the department, and the university.

The role of lecturers is highly valued by the department and the university. To encourage and facilitate their professional development, lecturers at the University of Florida are eligible for promotion through the ranks of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Master Lecturer.
