Job description

The New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College of Liberal Arts in New York City seek applicants for a tenure-track appointment with the Department of Philosophy to begin Fall 2018.

The area of specialization and the area of competence are open. We encourage applicants who work in areas currently underrepresented in the department to apply. The successful applicant must have a significant record of research excellence, as well as a demonstrated commitment to quality undergraduate and graduate teaching.

Our teaching load is the equivalent of five courses per year which consists of four classroom courses, two undergraduate, two graduate, with the usual non-teaching duties; the fifth course is comprised of dissertation supervision. Salary competitive.
