Job description |
Position: College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor Position in Epistemology in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies beginning August 2018. Qualifications: Ph.D. required. ABD applicants may be considered if the doctorate is scheduled to be completed by June 2018. Possess a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, the promise of scholarly productivity, and a willingness to participate actively in the department, the College of Liberal Arts, and Towson University. Responsibilities: Faculty assigned an instructional workload of six (6) course units per academic year for the first year. Beginning the second year the workload reverts back to the standard instructional workload of seven (7-8) course units per academic year. Courses wil include undergraduate offerings in the Core Curriculum of the university, graduate seminars, and upper division undergraduate courses; opportunities are available to participate in the Towson first-year seminar program and the Honors College. |
