Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Loyola University Chicago, College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Philosophy seeks applicants for a tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Philosophy, beginning in the fall of 2013. The department offers an undergraduate major, an M.A., and a Ph.D. in philosophy. For information about the department, please visit http://www.luc.edu/philosophy/. 

The area of specialization is Bioethics. Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in moral philosophy or social/political philosophy. The area of competence is open. A completed Ph.D. in Philosophy is required.  

Duties will include teaching at the undergraduate level in the University Core Curriculum and the Bioethics Minor Program and at the graduate level in the Philosophy Department's graduate programs. Thesis/Dissertation supervision and committee responsibilities are also expected. Standard teaching load is 3-2.
