Teaching experience is preferred. Ph.D. in Philosophy must be in hand no later than August 15, 2018.

The successful candidate will be skilled at attracting a diverse group of students to become interested in philosophy and become philosophy majors, will have a broad background in philosophy, and will be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching, especially at the introductory level. Other responsibilities include assisting with ongoing outcomes assessment procedures and additional professional service in support of the department, college, and university.

The Department of Philosophy & Religion offers a B.A. degree in Philosophy and a Philosophy minor. Its many activities include the preparation and coaching of a successful Ethics College Bowl team and an active Philosophy Club.
