Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

Emory & Henry College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Philosophy beginning August 1, 2018.
The Department is part of an historic liberal arts college in Emory, Virginia, USA, on a rural campus in the Appalachian Mountains. Committed to excellence in education and community engagement.

Responsibilities include the following:

• advise majors and possibly first-year students
• teach seven courses per year in the undergraduate program
• teach courses in the college’s general education program
• serve on college committees as needed

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. required
• evidence of teaching excellence
• AOS: Ethics.
• AOC: critical thinking, history of ancient and medieval philosophy, philosophy of science, aesthetics
