The Institute of Ethics, History and Theory of Medicine at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich invites applications for the following position to be filled as of 1. April 2018 or later: Postdoctoral researcher fixed-term 36 months, 100% The project The research position is available within the research group “META – mHealth: Ethical, legal and societal aspects in the technological age”. The international and interdisciplinary project investigates and evaluates ethical, legal and societal aspects of mobile health technologies (e.g. health apps, wearables) from an individual, population and global perspective. The project is funded by the German Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF). Your tasks The primary task is a philosophical analysis of norms and values in relation to mobile health technologies, and a normative discussion of the impact of these technologies on individuals (primary focus) and on society. The results shall lead to international, peer-reviewed publications. Furthermore, you will be involved in the project management, PhD supervision, development of an educatory website and other strategies of dissemination, transdisciplinary communication and outreach. Participation in meetings and seminars as well as overall collaboration and exchange within the META-project are required. Your profile

The salary will be according to TV-L (100%). Part time is possible. The position is for an initial fixed-term of 36 months.
