Position title:  Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy  

Position Summary:

The Department of Philosophy at Saint Martin’s University invites applications for a one-year Visiting Assistant Professor position.  We are interested in specialists in any of the following areas: the Philosophy of Religion, Environmental Philosophy, Philosophy of Science, Gender and Philosophy, the Philosophy of Medicine, and Ethics.  Applicants must be able to offer introductory philosophy courses and courses in their area of specialization and will teach four courses per semester.  A Ph.D. in Philosophy is strongly preferred but ABDs will be considered.

Faculty are expected to support the Catholic, Benedictine liberal arts mission of the university. Candidates must have valid documentation permitting them to work in the US from the date on which the appointment at Saint Martin’s takes effect. The position is subject to final budgetary approval.
