The University of Alabama at Birmingham is searching for a non-tenure-track Visiting Assistant Professor for one year, beginning August 2018, who has demonstrated excellence in teaching three beginning courses in philosophy: Introduction to philosophy, bioethics, and especially, contemporary moral issues. The teaching load is eight courses a year over two semesters. Summer teaching is possible. We encourage applications from women and historically disadvantaged groups. An awarded Ph.D. is required.
