Augustana University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in the Department of Religion/Philosophy/Classics beginning in Fall 2018.
Responsibilities: The ideal candidate will be prepared to teach required religion and philosophy courses for both majors and non-majors; honors courses in religion and philosophy; and regular courses in our First-Year Seminar program. Departmental teaching responsibilities will include courses in the history of philosophy and theology, and in theology and culture.
Qualifications: Applicants should have a commitment to liberal arts education and to a program of research that involves undergraduates. Applicants should either hold a Ph.D. in Philosophy and a graduate degree in Theology or Religion, or a Ph.D. in Theology or Religion and a graduate degree in Philosophy.
