Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

AOS:  Nineteenth- and Twentieth-Century European Philosophy.  AOC:  Broad competence in the history of philosophy. Familiarity with Hegel and the Idealist tradition would be an advantage. Successful candidates will have a record of strong research combined with outstanding research potential, and demonstrated excellence in teaching philosophy. Responsibilities include undergraduate core and elective courses and graduate courses (2-2 course load) plus Ph.D. supervision and service to the department. The department supports two interdisciplinary core curriculum programs,  one in the study of major philosophical and theological texts (Perspectives on Western Culture) and one in a social justice program of ethical, political, and theological analysis for students engaged in service learning (PULSE Program).
