Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Carleton College invites applications for a tenure-track position beginning September 1, 2019, at the rank of assistant professor. The successful candidate will be an excellent teacher with a strong research program and a genuine commitment to the liberal arts. We are particularly interested in candidates who will help us attract and retain students from groups that have been historically underrepresented in Philosophy. PhD or its imminent completion is required.

Carleton is a highly selective liberal arts college with a student body of 1,900 located forty-five miles south of the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. Our academic year consists of three ten-week terms. The successful candidate will teach five courses of their own design.
