WARREN CHAIR IN CATHOLIC STUDIES DEPARTMENT OF PHILOSOPHY AND RELIGION
The Department of Philosophy and Religion at The University of Tulsa invites applications from Full and Associate Professors for the Warren Chair in Catholic Studies. This is a full-time, tenured position beginning August 15, 2019. Salary is negotiable and will be commensurate with rank. The applicant must possess a Ph.D. and be trained in Catholic theological and philosophical traditions. Areas of historical and disciplinary specialization are open. The successful applicant will be a demonstrably excellent teacher with a substantial record of scholarly accomplishment. The Department of Philosophy and Religion houses two undergraduate majors. The position requires teaching lower and upper-level undergraduate courses within the department, and strongly encourages participation in The University of Tulsa’s interdisciplinary Honors Program. The position carries a 2-2 teaching load and the expectation of service to the department and university. Applicants should also demonstrate engagement with local faith communities.
