The Department of Philosophy at Lycoming College, Williamsport, PA, invites applications for an assistant professor, tenure track position beginning Fall 2019. 3/3 teaching load, undergraduate only. AOS Philosophy of Science with an emphasis on Cognitive Science and Biology. Applicants must be able to teach a survey course in Early Modern Philosophy and must have demonstrated competence to teach a basic course in formal logic through quantification. Candidates must have a commitment to excellence in undergraduate education. PhD completed prior to appointment required; experience preferred. Lycoming College is a National Liberal Arts College of about 1350 students. Williamsport is a small city located in the Susquehanna Valley of the Bald Eagle Mountains approximately three and a half hours from New York City, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh. The area offers affordable housing and ample opportunities for cultural entertainment and outdoor recreation. |
