Assistant Professor of Philosophy (EXPIRED)

The Department of Philosophy at Carnegie Mellon University seeks applications for a full-time, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2019. AOS: Research at the intersection of philosophy and cognitive science (broadly understood). We are particularly interested in scholars who create bridges between these disciplines, and can connect with the department’s current research areas, including applied ethics, linguistics, or philosophy of psychology. 

The Department strongly supports interdisciplinary & collaborative research, and we encourage individuals from diverse intellectual, personal, and cultural backgrounds to apply. The standard teaching load is 7 courses over four semesters (2/2/2/1), both undergraduate and graduate courses, as well as typical advising and other non-teaching responsibilities.
