Assistant Professor (EXPIRED)

RUTGERS UNIVERSITY/NEWARK, Newark, NJ. Assistant Professor, tenure-track. Rutgers/Newark is an urban university committed to an undergraduate liberal arts education and research excellence. Areas of specialization: ethical theory/moral psychology/applied ethics (with a preference for bioethics/medical ethics). Area of competence: epistemology (the department has a preference for a naturalistic approach to epistemological problems that is sensitive to the empirical work in cognitive science) or philosophy of science (preferably philosophy of biology or philosophy of neuroscience). Position would begin Fall 2013. PhD required by the time of application. Responsibilities: undergraduate teaching, usual advising and administrative duties. The position would likely involve opportunities for graduate teaching in many of the graduate programs at Rutgers-Newark.
