TENURED POSITION IN PHILOSOPHY OF MANAGEMENT which can be filled at the level of either ASSOCIATE or FULL PROFESSOR (Aalto BIZ) Aalto University is a new university with over a century of experience. Aalto University School of Business invites applications for: TENURED POSITION IN PHILOSOPHY OF MANAGEMENT which can be filled at the level of either ASSOCIATE or FULL PROFESSOR The position is located in the Department of Management and International Business. The Department consists of four disciplinary areas: Organisation and Management, International Business, Entrepreneurship, and Philosophy of Management. Philosophy of Management offers today courses in business ethics, philosophy of the social sciences, and theory and practice of argumentation for students in the Bachelor and Master’s programs, and in the school’s Doctoral program. The professor of Philosophy of Management is responsible for arranging courses in these areas in collaboration with faculty in other disciplines. Research in Philosophy of Management at the Department has been focused on these three areas mentioned. The applicants should hold a doctorate in philosophy or a related field, and they are expected to have high quality publications in at least one of the following areas: 1. Business ethics (broadly construed). 2. Philosophy of the social sciences (broadly construed). 3. Theory and practice of argumentation. The applicants are expected to demonstrate relevant teaching merits of high international level. An interest in new and innovative methods of teaching is appreciated. We invite applications in particular from strong candidates with experience in co-operation with researches or teachers in business studies, economics, or other fields of the social sciences. The applicants will be reviewed on the basis of their research, teaching and university administration and activity in scientific community.
