Job description

The Department of Philosophy at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Lecturer for the 2019/2020 academic year, with a target start date of August 16, 2019. 6 courses/year (3/semester). Anticipated courses include multiple sections of Introduction to Philosophy (PHIL 101) and both introductory and advanced courses in ancient philosophy (PHIL 203 and PHIL 410). Required: Ph.D. prior to start date and evidence of teaching experience. Experience with large lectures and/or with advanced courses in the specified areas strongly preferred.

This is a full time, 9-month, non-tenure track appointment. Salary is commensurate with experience.
