Job description

The role

Applications are invited for the position of Lecturer in Philosophy, this is a full-time (1.0 FTE) position for one year from 1 February 2020 through to 31 January 2021. We are seeking to appoint an excellent teacher and promising researcher.

Please note the area of Specialty is Early Modern Philosophy.

The successful applicant will be required to:
• Teach between two and a half to three papers per year or the equivalent at various levels;
• Supervise research at honours and postgraduate levels; and 
• Be actively engaged in research.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate will have:
• A PhD degree or significant progress towards completing a PhD degree.
• Demonstrated strengths in teaching and research.
