Pomona College invites applications for a full-time tenure-track position in the Department of Philosophy at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin July 1, 2020. AOS: 19th and 20th Century European/Continental Philosophy. AOC: Philosophy of Gender, Philosophy of Race, or Social Philosophy. PhD prior to appointment strongly preferred. Teaching load is 2-2; class size is typically under 20 students. Applications should contain a cover letter, CV, graduate transcripts, at least three letters of recommendation, writing sample, evidence of teaching effectiveness (preferably from multiple courses), and three statements addressing your i) teaching ii) scholarship, including your future directions, and iii) demonstrated ability to mentor a diverse student body.
