Job description

Assistant Teaching Professor of Philosophy

The Humanities Division of Widener University’s College of Arts and Sciences invites applications for a non-tenure-track teaching position in Philosophy to start in fall 2020. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and a knowledge of current trends and research in his/her field. The candidate’s area of specialization is open; areas of competence should include ethics and introduction to logic.  Teaching duties will include general education courses in ethics, business ethics, and logic.  

Qualifications: Minimum requirements are a commitment to undergraduate education and a Ph.D. in Philosophy. ABD candidates may be considered if the Ph.D. will be completed by May 2020.
