Job description

The Philosophy Department at Wesleyan University is seeking a one-year, full time Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy with AOS in Philosophy of Race, AOC Open. The teaching load is 3/2 and will include a first-year seminar and an advanced seminar on the successful candidate’s area of research. We are looking for an experienced teacher-scholar who can teach both majors and non-majors. Candidates will be expected to have a Ph.D. in hand by the time of appointment, which is September 1, 2020.  If not, they will be appointed as Visiting Instructor.
