Job description

Job Description

This position will be filled in partnership with Boston College's International Studies Program. Responsibilities will include teaching undergraduate core and elective courses and graduate courses (3-2 course load) in philosophy plus Ph.D. supervision, as well as teaching courses in International Studies, in particular a course entitled Ethics, Religion, and International Politics, a required course for International Studies majors. Requirements

The position will involve service both to the philosophy department and to International Studies. Successful candidates will have a record of strong research combined with outstanding research potential and demonstrated excellence in teaching philosophy.

The department supports an interdisciplinary core program in the study of major philosophical and religious texts (Perspectives on Western Culture) and a program of ethical, political, and theological analysis for students engaged in service programs (PULSE Program).
